The Western Film – Online College Course

Need a college credit? Want to take an online course? Like movies? The Sault College course, Westerns: A Study in the Film Genre, is your chance to gain a deeper understanding of the Western film genre and an online college-level credit. Open to Canadian, US and international students everywhere, this 2020 Spring term course is divided into themes such as History of the Western, Landscape and Setting, Actors, Directors, Indigenous Peoples, and Women. Film review choices include Quentin Tarantino and newly-released Westerns!

Westerns: A Study in the Film Genre runs for 14 weeks beginning May 12th with a range of Western films as the basis for assignments and online discussion. Registration is open until May 22nd and can be completed by email via conedregistration@saultcollege.ca or toll-free at 1-800-461-2260. The price of the course is $385.82 (CDN) and no textbook is required. The course outline can be provided to your college for program approval.
