Food Safety Behaviours of Canadians during the COVID-19 Pandemic

*Please note we are currently looking for those aged 40+*

We are hosting a series of online, chat-based focus groups to investigate the food purchasing, handling, and hand hygiene behaviours of Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic.

To participate you need to be at least 18 years old, currently live in Canada, and prepare meals at home at least once a week. In addition, you should be able to respond to the chat in English and have a working internet connection. We will be conducting 6 focus groups of up to 7 participants each. Note that you may provide a pseudonym instead of your real name when registering and participating in the focus groups.

Focus groups are scheduled for the following dates and times:

– June 3, 6:00 – 8:00 PM (Eastern Time)
– June 4, 6:00 – 8:00 PM (Eastern Time)
– June 5, 5:30 – 7:30 PM (Eastern Time)
– June 8, 6:00 – 8:00 PM (Eastern Time)

The focus groups will be chat-based (no video or audio), lasting 1-2 hours. Participants will receive a $25 gift card to your choice of Tim Hortons, Amazon.ca, or Chapters-Indigo. The study has been reviewed and approved by the Ryerson University Research Ethics Board (REB# 2020-152).
