Aboriginal Spirit Drummer

This is an aboriginal piece from Cape Dorset on a remote tip of Baffin Island in the territory of Nunavut, made from whale bone, suitable for setting up in a residence in a commanding view location, or setting up on a patio as a conversation piece. It was purchased from Eagle Spirit Gallery on Granville Island for $6000, in 2017, and is wishing to find a permanent home on the Lower Mainland.

Cape Dorset lies on a remote tip of Baffin Island in the territory of Nunavut, which is a community of slightly more than 1300 mostly Inuit people, with an unforgiving climate and no paved roads, almost to the Arctic Circle. Nearly one in four workers here is an artist!
