Providing care and activities for children with disabilities in Rabat.
In this project, volunteers will work with an association that supports children with trisomy. Their mission is to work for the dignity of persons with Down syndrome, for ensuring decent living conditions for them, to respect the uniqueness of each individual in the spirit of tolerance, openness and solidarity.
The volunteers will organize educational workshops (dance and corporal expression, fine arts, origami, paper recycling, gardening) and sports activities (physical conditioning, golf, horse riding, judo, football). The volunteers will also help with school activities and teaching assistance, as well as stimulation activities for the kids (otophone, kinesitheraphy)
Special requirements: The volunteers are not required to have any previous experience. The center is looking for enthusiastic, positive, patient and respectful people, who are willing to support children with disabilities to learn new skills and develop new relationships in ways that they choose and at a pace they feel comfortable with.
Duration of the project: The volunteer placements are from 2 to 12 months.
Orientation: The volunteers attend a two-day orientation upon arrival to learn more about the project and the Moroccan culture.
