Fish to Good Homes (Danio, Bronze Cory, Betta, ADF)

Description

Location : Burnaby, BC V5J 3A7

I picked up some fish last weekend that were in inadequate conditions, to ensure that they found good homes. They’re currently in a bare bottom quarantine tank and have gotten two Methelyne Blue baths.

I’m happy to hold for you for full two weeks until their quarantine is over or have you take them now if you want to observe for your own quarantine anyway.

They’re all free, but they need to have appropriate setups prepared. I’ll list needs for each fish below; if you are new to fish, and want to start with these guys, that’s totally fine! I’ll help you out with their care needs.

1 Orange Glo-Danio, 1.25″
This is a schooling fish (based on a zebra danio) so you must have at least four others for him to school with (the more the better). Minimum 10-gallon tank (20+ is better).

1 Bronze Corydoras Catfish, 2.25″
This is also a schooling fish, so you must have at least four others in your 20-gallon or larger aquarium. Sand substrate (or soft plant substrate) is a must.

1 Blue Betta, 2″
This one is up for adoption once he recovers, he got too cold and is struggling a bit still. He is feisty, and a hearty eater, so I’m pretty confident he will be better soon. Betta need a minimum of 3.5-gallons of heated filtered water (5 is better) with plenty of plants (silk or live) to rest on near the surface.

1 African Dwarf Frog, Female, 2.5″
I’m considering keeping this one, but open to giving to a better home if you have others. Her nickname is Neville Frogbottom. I know very little about frogs, so I would like to rehome (if I do) to an experienced ADF owner.
