Volunteer planting event at Trout Lake

Wildcoast Ecological Society will be hosting a planting and maintenance event at Trout Lake.

Date: Saturday, March 14, 2020
Time: 9 am – 12 pm
Location: South end of Trout Lake by the swimming beach and gazebo area. Look for the Wildcoast tent!
Details:
We will be planting wetland-friendly plants and removing weeds and garbage. We’ll also have nest boxes to colour and take home if you would like. Wear appropriate clothing for working outside, including close-toed shoes. This area is very muddy this time of year so rain boots are also recommended. We will provide all tools, gloves and light refreshments. We will also have a display with some interpretive materials and information about the importance of urban wetlands. All ages are welcomed to attend, no RSVP required.
