Location : Kelowna, British Columbia

The University Children’s Learning Center (located at UBCO) is looking for a part time Early Childhood Educator as well as additional substitute educators.
We are looking for reliable, respectful individuals who are passionate about working with children and would like to be in a welcoming team environment.

*We work at a 3:1 ratio in the I/T program and 6:1 in the 3-5 as we find an extra staff helps to ensure we meet all the children’s diverse needs as well as prevent burn out.*

I/T EDUCATOR POSITION:

*Starting end of July 2020
*Hours: Mon-Fri, 9:45-4:45 pm with the
ability to work a full 8 hour shift when
required as well as be paid for regular
staff meetings
*Wage: Flexible based on experience,
also opted into the ECE wage
enhancement (1$/hr extra, moving to $2
extra come April 2020)
*Paid sick days, benefits after 3 month
probation, Holiday pay and 1-2
week paid Christmas closure, signing
bonus
*ECE license required, Infant and Toddler license considered an asset

THIS POSITION CAN TURN INTO A
FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION IF DESIRED AS OUR DAYCARE IS EXPANDING IN 2020 TO CREATE TWO NEW ROOMS

SUBSITUTE POSITION:

This position requires the individual to cover sick days as well as be scheduled in advance for holiday coverage.

The wage for a substitute is flexible based on experience.

First aid is an asset but not required. An ECE assistance license to practice will be required although having your full license would be preferred.
