Half a lamb is generally 17-22 lbs and fits easily in your freezer. Price includes cut and wrap fees.
Half lamb: $9 per lb
Whole lamb: $8.50 per lb
We are a small family farm originally from the lower mainland, but because property prices are so high we bought where we could afford on the Chilcotin Plateau. We currently with 35 mostly rare breed ewes who all have names and stories. As well as working to preserve certain breeds in Canada we are able to provide a small number of lambs to people for their freezers. The lambs are raised in the wilds of the Chilcotin on untamed pastures protected by guardian dogs. The lamb has a very mild but delicious flavour and we have been told by customers it’s some of the best lamb they have ever had.
Additionally, since being connected to your food is becoming more and more desirable these days, if you wish to know more about the lamb who ended up in your freezer I would be more than happy to provide some pictures and stories about your lamb and his parents.
