Kids Have too Much Free Time? Online Piano Lessons!

During this difficult time many of us are stuck indoors missing the many social and psychological benefits of work and school.

As a local piano teacher in Guelph, I too have had to adapt to this ‘new normal’ by moving all my lessons online. While nothing beats working in-person I’ve discovered that working with students online on platforms like Zoom has many merits that can benefit people of all ages:

-children receive important face-to-face education from an adult outside the home

-parents get some “time off” with their kids occupied in lessons and practicing

-people who are lonely receive weekly social contact

-players of any age get to tap their creativity

-people get tangible goals to work towards during a time of uncertainty
