Affordable Tutor for CompSci, Calc, English ++

Hi! My name is Albert, and I’m a 3rd-year Computer Science and Economics Double Major at the University of Toronto. I’m a highly enthusiastic tutor with 3+ years of professional tutoring experience. As a friendly and youthful tutor, I’m able to connect and empathize with students’ struggles better – this creates the optimal environment for learning and knowledge retention.

I can teach and tutor in these areas:
-All math, ranging from grade school math to Precalc and Calculus AB/BC, as well as 1 and 2
-Computer Science Concepts – Python, Java, Javascript, Web Design + Development in React, RaspberryPi/Linux programming, and advanced topics including Data Structures, Complexity Analysis, CS-based proofs
-Microeconomics and Macroeconomics (for APs, or first-year Econ)
-Physics 11 and 12
-Chemistry 11
-English and History (Essay writing skills, Research papers)
-University applications, resume boosting

My qualifications:
-Graduated high school with a 96% average (4.0 GPA)
-Earned a 90 on the English provincial
-Debate and Model United Nations ex-delegate, ex-chair, and ex-director
-Numerous CS projects I can discuss in more detail in person
-Native English speaker, also fluent in Mandarin

How each lesson works (roughly, changing dependent on subject):
-We meet at your house (I can drive there) or online (through Zoom)
-You show me homework I assigned from last lesson, which we briefly review and I give additional tips and tricks
-We go over what you need to learn this week, and get a deep understanding of the subject
-We peek forward at what you’re learning next week with remaining time, and we try to understand the new subject
-I assign you extra practice and say things you need to work on, if any
-On exam days, we will prepare for exams instead

The price:
-$35/hour for university-level, $30/hour for high school-level, $25/hour for elementary school-level.
-flat $2 per lesson discount if online

My availability:
-Currently extremely flexible, available any day of the week at any time, with preference for same time every week
